Carmel McKiernan
Area Representatives: UK and Ireland
After a lengthy career in the corporate world, Carmel commenced study in 2003 with Ireland's National Theatre School, the Gaiety School of Acting. On completion, Carmel provided theatre workshops for many years, in schools and privately. She launched Limelight Theatrics in 2009, offering dramatic studies and performance singing classes.
Carmel has a BA in Business and a professional certification in Human Resources Management. She holds a teaching Licentiate from the Irish Board of Speech & Drama, which she obtained in 2012 and is an ISBD Examiner. Carmel has also achieved several national awards for acting in drama and musical theatre. She also sings in a professional capacity.
In 2021 Carmel joined the Institute of Vocal Advancement and is now a certified IVA Instructor and plans to continue her education with the IVA. Carmel teaches singing to children and adults in Ireland at her private studio and online internationally via Skype or Zoom. Carmel is the Area Representative for IVA Voice Teachers in Ireland and the UK North.
