Elisabeth Huber

🇬🇧 United Kingdom

I offer online and in-person lessons and workshops focused on vocal training, improvisation and songwriting, for singers of all levels. At Sound Your Voice my students can work towards uncovering their true voice and authentic self-expression. My classes are designed to empower my students to develop individuality and independence as a singer and musical artist on and off stage.

I was born in Graz, Austria, grew up in Vienna and moved to Bristol in 2018 where I set up Sound Your Voice and started my new ensemble that focuses on performing and developing original music.

My work as a creative artist started around about 2006. Besides my solo works and performances I’ve been part of many studio and live projects, as a singer, songwriter and backing vocalist. My music has been featured on radio and TV, in interviews, on live-appearances and on tours. I collaborated with various and renowned artists in the range of Jazz, Theatre, Musical Storytelling, and Conceptual and Visual Arts.

One of my first assignments as a vocal teacher was as a guest lecturer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2007. Around 2011 I started to regularly teach singing one-on-one, working with stage actors, young adolescents, beginners and young emerging artists. From 2016 until 2019 I conducted group lessons and workshops for almost 300 adults, very beginners, helping them to overcome their fear of singing and to reconnect them with their vocal and musical verve.

I studied at the Institute of Music and Movement Education/Rhythmics and Music Physiology at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna for 3 years, and received my certificate as a singer and music teacher in Jazz and Contemporary Music with honours at the Vienna Music Institute in 2014. Since 2019 I continue my training as a singer and vocal teacher at IVA.
