You may still be wondering...
No. The community is open to any singing teacher, whatever your training and whatever method you use. Most members will have no connection to IVA at all.
No. We do run teacher training, and from time to time we will post about something of ours that might interest you, with no pressure and no obligation. Beyond that, nobody promotes anything in here, members included. If you never take a programme with us you are still welcome for as long as you want to be.
Good. A room where everyone agrees is not much use to anyone. You will find IVA Educators here explaining how we think about the voice, and you are free to disagree. We only ask that disagreement stays about the technique rather than the person.
Please do. Singers are a big part of what makes this work, and having your students in the same community as you is a feature rather than a problem. The conversations that are just for teachers sit in the Teachers' Room, so you can talk shop without an audience.

You can cancel your membership at any time from your account settings. No email, no conversation, no notice period.
Monthly membership
Cancel whenever you like. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund the current month.
Annual membership
You have 14 days from purchase to change your mind, and we will refund you in full. After that, you can cancel any time to stop the renewal, but we do not refund the remainder of the year.
Either way
Cancelling your membership does not remove you from the community. You stay in the free spaces for as long as you want to be here.
Founding rate
If you cancel and rejoin later, the founding rate no longer applies. It is locked for as long as your membership continues, not permanently attached to your account.

Hi, I'm Tom, Co-founder of Vocal Advancement. Like many teachers, my journey started with a love of singing and a desire to better understand how to help voices grow. Teaching can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating without the right professional environment.
Early in my teaching career, I remember trying to make sense of conflicting ideas, endless opinions, and too much noise online. That challenge hasn’t disappeared. If anything, the amount of information teachers navigate today has only grown.
Many experienced teachers are looking for a space where conversations go deeper than social media posts. A professional community offers perspective, shared experience, and ongoing dialogue that helps teachers stay curious and supported.
That’s why we created this community. Not as another course, but as a professional environment where experienced singing teachers can think, discuss, and grow together.
