Seven things you might not know about IVA

In the run up to our launch we ran a campaign that started with Seven things you might not know about IVA.

Area Representatives

We appoint representatives in countries all over the world so there is always someone in your time zone to help answer your questions and guide you through your certification in the IVA technique. These Area Representatives can also organise local events for teachers to help you get your education.

Community

It is important to us to create a community of teachers who can support and help one another towards furthering their education. We plan to hold conferences and local events to bring teachers together. We understand the value of peer driven education and creating communities of teachers allows everyone to become better.

Education

The core of our organisation is educating teachers to learn how to teach singers to find the freedom to move through their bridges with ease and flexibility. We give teachers the tools required to help singers of all standards, and in all genres of music.

Elective Modules

We believe knowledge of technique is not always enough to make an excellent teacher. We have designed several courses which cover other aspects of music and singing that we feel are valuable for teachers to develop themselves in all areas. These courses change from year to year and include presenters from our teachers and from outside the organization.

Master Teachers

The majority of our education is delivered by our team of Master Teachers. These teachers have spent many years developing their own teaching and above all, the ability to pass on their knowledge in a simple and concise manner. They continue to further their own education so they can bring teachers the most up to date information.

Morals and Ethics

Our founding board has very high ethical standards. We will not be seen to dismiss any other technique or organization of singing. We value opinions from all pedagogies but we pursue only the techniques which have proven themselves to us to be most effective. We encourage teachers to treat each other with respect and focus on the positive things we achieve.

Philosophy

We believe that all teachers of singing should be valued and respected. We aim to help develop each teacher's ability to help their students by giving them the tools necessary to teach vocal technique and all other pertinent aspects of music, singing and performing. We believe in transparency and will always make our work and all aspects of our organization available for our membership to see. Our founding board has very high ethical standards.
