There is growing evidence to suggest that lessons in the Alexander Technique can positively influence the singing voice.

In this introductory lecture/workshop, you’ll be guided through the foundational principles of the technique, with relevant research referenced throughout to support your learning.

Whether you’re new to the Alexander Technique or looking to deepen your understanding, this session offers valuable insights for vocalists of all levels.

What to Bring:

  • A stack of paperback books (2–4” high when stacked)
  • A yoga mat or access to carpeted floor space (enough room to lie down with knees raised and feet on the floor)
  • A solid-bottom chair with a ladder-style back (2 chairs if available)

About Michele

Michele Capalbo is a voice teacher, performer, adjudicator, researcher, and writer. She has received singing and publishing awards and holds performance and voice pedagogy degrees. Michele is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique (M AmSAT).
