IVACON Utah 2025

A Week of Growth, Connection, and Powerful Voices: IVACON Utah & IVA Utah Voice Intensive 2025
IVACON Utah and the IVA Utah Voice Intensive 2025 brought together a vibrant community of voice educators and singers for a week of transformative learning, connection, and artistry. For the first few days, IVACON Utah welcomed IVA Teachers, creating a deeply focused environment for pedagogical training, peer collaboration, and skill refinement. Then, on Friday, June 13, the event opened to the public for a special one-day intensive that gave singers and aspiring teachers a chance to experience the IVA Method firsthand.
IVACON: Learning and Leading from Within
The IVACON portion of the week was a time for IVA teachers to dive deep into technique, practice, and pedagogy. In this exclusive space, teachers pushed the boundaries of their own understanding, honed their demonstration skills, and received individualized feedback from seasoned educators.
It wasn’t just about learning more, it was about learning better: how to diagnose faster, choose more effective tools, and deliver instruction in a way that resonates. And it wasn’t just about voice, it was about community.
“I have worked with a few different voice teacher training programs in the past and the value and effectiveness of the IVA method is truly unmatched. I have never understood how to work with voices and even navigate my own voice as clearly as when I started with IVA. I am beyond grateful! … I will gladly shout out my love for IVA from every single mountaintop I can find!”

IVA Utah Voice Intensive: A Full Day of Discovery for All
Friday’s Voice Intensive was open to all and it didn’t disappoint! Singers, teachers, and curious newcomers came together for a day packed with interactive workshops, group warm-ups, technique labs, and collaborative learning.
Highlights from the day included:
- A powerful welcome and warm-up session with Char and Tom that set the tone for the day
- “The IVA Way”, a session introducing functional technique to new singers and teachers
- Hands-on voice labs, giving participants the chance to work one-on-one with master teachers
- A panel discussion covering what Utah’s top theatres expect from performers
It was an immersive experience that offered something for everyone—from those brand new to vocal training to advanced educators looking to fine-tune their approach.
“Just thank you all so much for this amazing organization and this amazing event. I didn’t know anyone… and was a bit intimidated to come alone, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Everyone treated me as if they already knew me… that made it so much easier to step more and more out of my comfort zone.”

A Viral Moment You Had to Hear to Believe
One of the most talked-about moments of the event? A real-time demonstration that went viral online, showing the remarkable variation in singers’ voices and how different technical approaches yield different sounds, even on the same note.
It’s a perfect example of what makes IVA’s training so unique: it’s not just theoretical, it’s practical, powerful, and personal.
Building Something Bigger Than a Method
What continues to set IVA apart is the genuine, global community we’re building. Teachers don’t just come to improve their pedagogy, they come to feel seen, supported, and inspired. Singers don’t just learn new exercises, they gain tools that transform their confidence and capability.
“This is not only the best and most effective teacher training program out there, but it’s a network of humans that care so passionately about continually growing as pedagogues and spreading their love for the voice to all!”
