IVACON 2026 Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to handle cancellations in a way that is fair, transparent, and supportive for our teachers, while also allowing IVA to plan and deliver high-quality events.

Because IVACON involves venue commitments, catering arrangements, and educator scheduling, the following cancellation terms apply.

Cancellation Timeframes

More than 90 days before the conference start date

  • Full refund minus a $75 administrative fee
  • Or the same amount as a credit toward a future IVA event

60 to 89 days before the conference start date

  • 50% refund of registration fees
  • Or the same amount as a credit toward a future IVA event

30 to 59 days before the conference start date

  • 25% refund of registration fees
  • Or the same amount as a credit toward a future IVA event

Less than 30 days before the conference start date

  • Registration fees are non-refundable
  • a partial credit toward a future IVA event may be offered at IVA’s sole discretion

Credit Terms

  • Credits may be applied toward IVA events or conferences
  • Credits are valid for 12 months from the original conference start date
  • Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
  • IVA is committed to helping teachers use their credit wherever possible within the validity period

Payment Plans

If you selected a payment plan:

  • Cancellation terms are based on the full registration value, not the amount paid to date
  • Any remaining balance may still be owed, depending on the cancellation timeframe
  • Credits are calculated using the full registration value

Transferring Attendance

If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your registration to another eligible IVA teacher. Transfer requests must be approved by IVA and may incur an administrative fee.

Non-Attendance

Failure to attend IVACON without notifying IVA is considered a cancellation within 30 days of the event and is not eligible for refunds. A partial credit toward a future IVA event or conference may be offered at IVA’s sole discretion.

IVA Event Changes or Cancellation

If IVA needs to cancel or reschedule IVACON, attendees will be offered one of the following options:

  • Transfer registration to a future IVACON
  • Receive full credit toward IVA education or events
  • Receive a full refund of registration fees

In the event that IVACON is cancelled or rescheduled, IVA shall not be liable for any frustrated or additional travel or accommodation costs.

Exceptions

IVA reserves the right to grant reasonable exceptions from this cancellation policy in cases of serious medical or family emergency.

The cancellation date is determined by the date the written request is received.
