Bobby Harpur

Area Representative: UK and Ireland

Bobby is a professional singer, voice teacher, and owner of The Vocal Academy in Dublin, Ireland. He has been studying with IVA since 2013.

Bobby started out in youth theatre and progressed to musical theatre. He has played roles such as Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Motel Kamzoil (Fiddler on the Roof), Tobias Ragg (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), Sancho Panza (Man of La Mancha), and Nicely-Nicely Johnson (Guys and Dolls). Bobby is a founding member of Bradán Players Theatre Group in Leixlip and has won several awards for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Comedian in the All-Ireland One Act Play circuit.

Even before his first school band, "The Isms," Bobby has been known primarily as a singer, which is where his passion lies. Bobby has performed nationally and internationally, with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Route 66 (a 16-piece big band), The Camembert Quartet (of The Late Late Show), The Supertonics (an a cappella group who performed at the Final of the Irish International A Cappella Festival in 2018), and of course with his own private project, Voci, where he performs prolifically.

At his studio, Bobby (and his team of IVA Instructors!) look after the vocal requirements of professional touring and recording artists, professional gigging musicians, semi-professional singers, actors, voice-over actors, amateur singers, and beginner singers from the age of 7 up to and into their 80s.

His studio's philosophy is that if you want to sing, then you should sing. If you want to get better, we can help you. We WANT to help you!
